Hey friends, its Liz!
My start: Ever since I can remember I have always loved taking photos - it all started with my blue Nikon point and shoot that I still have. In high school I fell absolutely in love with telling love stories that are fun and playful. I love the posing and framing and giggles it brings!
more about me.
I am the most chalant person you will ever meet. Like you know when people are non-chalant? That could never be me. God has gifted me with the ability the feel other joy and grief deeply. I think the world is full of best friends to meet and I love people so deeply. I cry when looking at photos from a Baptism Sunday at Cornerstone, I jump up and down ferociously when I get to relive the joy of a portrait session and I GIGGLE ALL THE TIME (it actually may be a problem). I will text (and email oops!) with lots of smiles and exclamation marks because I am just wired like that.
I’ve learned to love this part of me because it’s how God created me, and how beautiful is that, knowing I’m made in His image as we all are.
The girlies I spent a summer in Taiwan with for a mission trip <3
"just a girl who feels deeply, loves hard and thinks the world is full of best friends waiting to be met"
my why.
My whole why is Jesus. The one who gave me life, the one who gave me this ability and the one I give my whole life to. In the Old Testament, God saves the Israelites and brings them out of Egypt, out of slavery. the Israelites forget what God did and his goodness - something we often do. God calls us to remember. Exodus 13:3 "Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the Lord brought you out of here by the strength of His hand.” Photography is a beautiful tool to remember what the Lord has done, the beauty of a love story, the beauty of a Baptism Sunday, the raw emotions of sports. The Lord is faithful and bring all who believe from death to life. It’s an honor to look back and remember His goodness, His strength, and the stories He continues to write.
Salt Company Fall Retreat 2025!
now.
I’m currently finishing my Public Relations degree at Iowa State University and will graduate in the spring of 2026… eek! Alongside running my portrait business, I work as a Visuals Editor at the Iowa State Daily and a Photography Intern at Cornerstone Church. My college years have been filled with travel, incredible opportunities, and the sweetest friends.
After graduation, I hope to pursue a path of Creative Ministry and couples photography, wherever the Lord leads, in Iowa or beyond.
